    To whom it may concern.

    My name is Sly Dunbar O.D., drummer and producer and one half of ‘Sly and Robbie.

    I am writing to give my full support to the application for Sylvan Morris to receive national honours’.

    Mr. Morris is a pioneering studio engineer and his profound contribution to Jamaican popular music is without question. From his ground-breaking work as the chief engineer at Studio One during it’s heyday, through his work at leading studios such as Harry J and Dynamic Sounds, Mr. Morris is responsible for capturing and moulding some of the most important and influential music created in this country. In the field or audio engineering and music production Sylvan Morris is one of the greatest this country has produced and there are few more deserving of national honours.
